Having completed the "Tough Guy" Challenge in January, this seasoned runner will be completing the Brighton Triathlon and the The Longman Hike Challenge (a 50 mile fell running race) in order to prepare for the Tour. 

As founder of the Urban Vitality Company John helps busy Londoners Increase their energy and strip away unwanted fat through Personal Coaching, Bootcamps and workshops.

He believes the Tour will be the best way to raise awareness about the harms of excess sugar and inspire people to be the best they can be.

A rookie at this level he is planning to use breathing techniques and optimum nutrition as well as the suffering of the children and families in the Liver Transplant Unit of King's Hospital to push himself to new levels of performance.

Tom "Beav" beaver
Rider, Motivator, Lover Of Pain.

At just 26 years of age Tom already has a phenomenal list of endurance achievements to his name. Having completed 16 marathons, two Ironman's, The "Marathon de Sable " (A five day race across the Sahara Desert) and The Land's End to John O Groat's cycle race (In a record five and a half days). Tom is looking to add the Tour de Sucre to his list of achievements.

Tom is using the Tour as part of his preparations for his attempt to become the Youngest Person to complete the Arch To Arc Event in 2008. The HUGE triathlon involves cycling from Marble Arch to the south Coast of England before swimming the channel and then Running on to the Arc de Triomph in Paris. This event has only been completed by 12 people EVER and Tom is committed to becoming the youngest of this elite club.

Simon "The Viking" Limpus

At the age of 18 Simon was competing at a high level of rugby and was at the peak of his physical health. However prior to his A levels he contracted Glandular Fever, which later turned into Chronic Fatigue syndrome a condition that Simon has only just recovered from. A battle of seven years to regain his full health and prior energy levels.

Having investigated many health and nutritional techniques he is now committed to being even healthier than he was before and is using the tour as preparation for his own attempt to become the first person to recover from CFS/ME and complete the Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle Race.

His own inspiring story is a motivation to all the riders on the Tour.
