The Long Road from Chiswick (West London) to Snowdonia (North Wales)!

The Ride

Leaving at 3pm on Friday October 26th, we will leave chiswick station followed by the Sugar Bus, our support vehicle, containing spare bikes and all the food we will require for the trip.

Inside the Sugar Bus will be over 28,000 calories of food. (Not one calorie of which will be from refined Sugar!)

The Ride will Take us 240 miles past Oxford, through Birmingham and deep into the depths of North Wales.

Below is a link to our route;

At an average speed of 20 km per hour we will reach Nant Peris (The start of the Marathon) in just over 19 hours.

If we are ahead of schedule we will have time for a quick massage. If we are behind, we will not! We will not have time to sleep and the majority of our eating will be done on the bike.

The Bikes

The Coventry Eagle

Donated by my Grandmother Molly Limpus, the Eagle - which is 27 years old - signifies her own battle against sugar and her struggle with Type 2 Diabetes.

The bike technically has 15 gears, although only 5 actually work, and two awesome mud guards!

She runs like a dream, although I am slightly perterbed about how comfortable the saddle will be after 19 hours!
